Quotable Thursday #2 - April 29, 2009

It's time for quotations again. Please join this meme with a favourite quote of your own. Post the quotation on your own blog, then link to this blog by clicking on Mr. Linky at the bottom of this post.

Here's my quotation for today:
People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.
-Elisabeth Kübler-Ross

Be creative - post pix to go with your quote, post several quotes, based on a single theme, or not. Whatever you like!

And now, here's Mr. Linky - click here once your own post is up:

Mr. Linky's acting up! To keep the links current on Quotable Thursday #3 (see above) I'm afraid I've had to delete the older links from this post (Quoutable Thursday #2). My apologies. I will post the links here very soon so that you can all enjoy the excellent quotations from week no. 2.

  1. What a coincidence! Your quote by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross was actually my first choice for this week :). So, I have chosen another quote by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Have a great day, everyone. Thank you, Pamposh.

  2. Indeed! Even in darkness, our light sparkles when the torch of goodness and kindness keeps burning in us.

  4. Bonnie Bonsai: Tks for joining. I'm not allowed to comment on your blog (coz I'm "not a team member"), so I'll add my comment for you here.

I LOVE that quote from Mother Theresa! Thank you for sharing it with me and my readers.

Your whole blog is such an inspiration. I'm so glad to have discovered it.

  6. Hi Pam,
I chose a quote about poetry from Charles Simic. I put his picture there too. I like the one you have about stained glass. It reminds me of the beautiful cathedrals I visited in Europe.:)

  7. Pam: I put a quote from Nathanial Hawthorne on my Books Coming and Going page on my blog, A Traveler's Library, but when I clicked the Mr. Linky, it said Thankful Thursday instead of Quotable Thursday. Did I get to the wrong place? I love your quote and the illustration of stained glass.

  9. Pam,
So sorry I didn't give a link back to your blog. So I am editing that now and putting in the link. I'm not sure if Mr. Linky does that for everyone or not. :)

  10. lionmother (and all others): Mr. Linky provides a link from this blog to yours, but not the other way. So, yes, please do add a link to Terataii on your own blogs. That way we have a two-way link and all your readers can enjoy all the quotes. Thanks.

  11. Vera: It's the right place. That's the only template I could find that would work for what I had in mind. I just changed it on my own blog to "Quotable." Did I mention I'm not too terribly tech-savvy? :)
I like your quote. So true.
