Blake: To see a world in a grain of sand

To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.
- William Blake, from Auguries of Innocence

  1. A metaphor expressed of how we can see life's goodness in small thing and beauty through nature. Yet, goodness and kindness and beauty is just within grasp of our understanding. Once embedded, it will be there forever. I find thought provoking.
